Working on K’gari is special, every day you get to see an amazing natural wonder that people have carefully chosen as their next or annual holiday destination. I have truly valued my time working and living on the island, these have been some of the best days of my life. Waking up to the sound of birds calling, going on nature walks and catching a beautiful sunset with my friends, there is nothing quite like island life. The memories you make with team members you treasure, and to top it all off you help others by creating the perfect island escape for guests.

Paulina Arreaga - Kingfisher Bay Resort Events Coordinator

I started out as an intern back in 2018 as a Wedding and Events Coordinator. I was given the opportunity to multi-hire as a Food and Beverage attendant which gave me the chance to make more friends and expand my abilities. Upon graduating, I had my first full time job as a Wedding Coordinator, working alongside an amazing team, enjoying what I do and growing personally and professionally. It has been 2 years and six months and I still can’t get enough of the amazing island life.

Amy Martini - Kingfisher Bay Resort Group Project Officer

I have worked for the company for over 13 years. In this time, I have been given opportunities that have enabled me to progress to new roles due to the skills I have learned and my achievements. It is a stimulating and inspiring workplace, providing diversity, positive challenges and an overall enjoyable place to be. One the best parts of the job is joining a guided tour of Fraser Island on my days off.

Dion Jacques - Food and Beverage Manager

I’ve been working as the Food and Beverage Manager at Kingfisher Bay Resort for the past 7 months. I originally started out as a Food and Beverage attendant - an amazing experience that allowed me to see the positive energy and culture between all the team members. I am really proud to say I trained and grew alongside them, building confidence to work in any venue or event based the resort.

My role has evolved into assisting with new F&B outlet launches, including the Rainforest Bar, which was an opportunity of a lifetime. This project helped me grow my bartender skills, using fresh products and new cocktail creation technology. Seeing our ideas progress from start to finish taught me so many exciting lessons! Now being a Team Leader I have continued to achieve goals, grow the team and develop some unique skill sets. I am proud to work for Kingfisher Bay Resort and to contribute to the success of the company.
